About Me


I can't recall a time in my life when I have not written. Since I was a little girl, I've marveled at the power of words and the joy of sculpting something magnificent from them. I think I spent half my teenage years holed up in my parents' little basement office, pounding away at my piece-of-junk typewriter and writing one short story after another.

A good friend introduced me to the field of copywriting.

I nodded and smiled, quick to dismiss it as "boring"
and "dry". My mistake! Very quickly I realized that copywriting was more than just toss-ing a bunch of sales mumbo-jumbo on the page - it was a
fascinating study of human behavior and response.

Writing copy is about captivating the audience's attention and not letting go. It's about tapping into their hopes, their desires, their fears and their dreams. Words are powerful. I use this power every day to help my clients build a successful business.

I am a magna cum laude graduate of Bridgewater State College, where I received an award for Excellence in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. My short fiction has been published in The Writer's Post Journal and in the books Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul and Teen Ink: Love and Relationships. I was also featured in an article called "Work-at-Home Moms" in the September 2011 issue of AKA Mom magazine. Currently, I'm working on my first book, which focuses on my struggle with and recovery from chronic insomnia.

Lovely Rhode Island (just a short train ride from Boston) is where I make my career as a freelance copywriter. I live right outside of Providence with my husband, two son and two dogs who *think* they're humans.
